Cecil Udean Flanagan was born May 22m 1923 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Herman Cecil & May French Flanagan. September 7, 1946 Cecil married Ruby Rae Lovell in Franklin County, Ar. They were both residents of Lavaca, Sebastian Co,. Arkansas. His second marriage was to Arnetta Davis also of Lavaca, Arkansas on September 18,1948. They also married in Franklin Co., Arkansas.

Cecil registered for the military draft June 20, 1942 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Arkansas. He enlisted in the US Army February 23, 1943 and served until October 12, 1945. No other information has been found about his time in the service

Cecil Edean Flanagan passed away May 22, 1923 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Arkansas. He was buried in Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma Co., Okla.

Cecil Udean Flanagan, age 84, passed away Friday, June 15, 2007. He was born May 22, 1923, in Fort Smith. He lived in Midwest City, Okla., for 43 years; he was an Army veteran of World War II and a jet mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base for 31 years. He was an evangelist and actually lived his faith traveling, singing, leading praise and worship services and visiting with the sick.

He is survived by his wife, Arnettia of 58 years; daughter, Judy and her husband, Steve Vanderburg; son, Michael and his wife, Kini; sisters, Margaret Green of Lavaca and Lennie Dodd of Fort Smith; brothers, Homer of Chandler, Okla., Roy (Boley) of Lavaca, Wendell (Doc) of Fort Smith; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 16, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Paylor Dignity Memorial Chapel in Midwest City, Okla., with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery
