William Howard Fahrner was born November 7, 1908 in Oklahoma to Godfrey John & Allie Belle Williams Fahrner. October 16, 1940 Howard registered for the military draft at Sebastian Co., Ar. On the 4th of December 1942 he enlisted in the US Army at Houston, Texas. He states on his enlistment papers that he had completed 2 years of high school. Pvt Fahrner was discharged from the military on Nov 9, 1945. William Howard Fahrner passed away on Sept. 25, 1977, He was buried in the Fort Smith National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Ar.
