This is a story uncle Nelson Elmore typed up for me. I wanted to know
where he was during the war. So he typed this up for me. He was also
a spotter he would go out ahead of his unit to check things out ahead
of everyone else.
One time he and a friend of his went with him once and they were under
fire there was an explosive rounds going very close to them they turned
to one another and said are you alright they both were okay this time but
the next time Nelson looked back after another explosion half of his
Buddy's head was gone all the way to the jaw bone.
The hand made sword given to him by a Philippino man while he was dieing
in his arms.
