Milton Jesse Elkins was born January 24, 1926 in Big creek, Sebastian Co. Ar. to John E & Geogan Thurman Elkins. The family didn't the Big Creek/Island area until aftr Milton was 14 years old regardless of what his obit below says. He married Delma Joyce Hice from Arkansas No marriage record has been found. Milton enlisted in the US Army April 27, 1944 and served until April 30, 1948. Nothing more is found about his service. Milton passed away January 4, 1997 at Lebanon, Linn Co., Oregon. His burial was in Willamette Memorial Park at Albany, Linn Co., Oregon.
