January 21, 1946 he married Freda Vivian Inklebarger, both residents of Lavaca, Arkansas. June 30, 1942 Carrol registered for the miitary draft at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. He enlisted with the US Army May 18, 1943 at Little Rock, Arkansas. He states he is single without dependents and has completed 2 years of high school. He served until January 11, 1946. Nothing more is known about his time in the service. Carrol Franklin Douglas passed away December 5, 1989 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in Oak Valley Cemetery at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.
