Maurice Leonard Derdeyn was born January 25, 1917 in Midland, Texas to Maurice Leonardo Aldophus & Lucile Marguerite Hall Derdeyn. His father Maurice, Sr. was born in Belgium. The family was living in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. before 1920. Maurice, living at Fort Smith, Ar. married Lolli Margaret Dorsey Lambden a WWII war widow, April 10, 1953 at Durant, Oklahoma. June 20, 1941 Maurice enlisted in the US Army and served until September 1, 1945. Nothing more is known about his time in the service. Maurice Leonard Dedeyn passed away April 27, 1993. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Benton Co., Ar.
