Samuel Blanton Davis was born June 1, 1903 in Jenny Lind, Sebastian Co. Ar. to Samuel P. and Lennie T. Lena Yaden Davis. His father died about the time Samuel B. was born. I have found no marriage record for young Sam. When he enlisted in the US Army his enlistment record says he was single. Samuel Blanton is often found in records as "Blanton Samuel". Samuel registered for the military draft February 16, 1942 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. September 15, 1942 Samuel enlisted in the US Army at Little Rock, Ark with the rank of Private. He states his education was 2 years of high school and his occupation was "unskilled oilers of machinery". Samuel served with the US Army until his discharge July 9, 1945. Samuel Blanton Davis passed away June 27, 1975 in Arkansas and is buried at Douglass Cemetery at Jenny Lind, Sebastian Co., Ar.
