Norvell Davis was born September 28, 1928 in Gilmer, Upshur Co., Texas to Essie Ardell "E.R." & Maudie Jessie Huggins Davis. March 28, 1952 Norvell married Bobby Jene Daily at Grayson Texas.

Mr. Norvell Davis, of Greenwood, Arkansas died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Davis was 80 years old. He was the retired owner of Davis Engine and Compressor, and United States Air Force veteran of World War II.

Mr. Davis is survived by 1 son: Rick Davis and his wife, Janie of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; 1 daughter: Renee Johnson and her husband, Todd of Greenwood, Arkansas; 1 sister: Gracie King of Lawton, Oklahoma; 4 wonderful grandchildren: Braden and Ashley Johnson, Michelle Mason and her husband, Chad, and Ryan Davis and his wife, Kati; two precious great-grandchildren: Hunter Ryan Davis and Morgan Kathryn Mason; other relatives; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Bobby J. (Daily)Davis; his parents and grandparents.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were Chad Mason, Jackie Davis, Dale Johnson, Lonnie Johnson, Jeremy Johnson and Glenn Davis. Honorary pallbearer was his lifelong friend, Darrell Wheeler and Warren Barge.
