Clarence Elzie Craig was born April 18 1923 in Sebastian County, Arkansas to Claude Melvin & Mamie King Craig. September 17, 1942 Elzie married Bertha Lucille Watts in Crawford Co., Ar. Both were residents of Fort Smith, Sebastian Co. Ar. at that time. June 29, 1942 Elzie registered for the military draft at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Arkansas. He enlisted in the US Army January 19, 1943 And served with a rank of Tec5. His army service ended on November 24, 1945. No other information is found about his time in the service. January 16, 2002 Clarence Elzie Craig passed away and was buried in the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ar.
