Velmar Lee Cottingham was born August 23, 1905 in South Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Charles Andrew & Mary Dellar Crossland Cottingham. December 19, 1936 he
married Rose Gladys McHorgue, both residents of Greenwood, Sebastian Co.,
Ar. although the marriage was in Scott Co., Ar.
Velmar enlisted in the US Air Force November 13, 1942 at Little Rock, Arkansas.
He states his has a 5th grade education. More about his time in the service can be
found below in his biography.
Velmar Lee Cottingham passed away June 22, 1988 in Fort Smith, Sebastian
Co., Ar. His burial was in Liberty Cemetery at Greenwood, Ar.
