August 26, 1940 Carl married Dorthy Elizabeth Cumbie, both being residents of Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar Carl registered for the military draft at White Oak, Sebastian Co., Ar. on October 16, 1940. September 8, 1943 Carl enlisted in the US Army. His residents at that time was Newton Co., Ar. He was serving from Galesburg, Ill in 1946 according the the city directory for that city. Wife Dorothy was listed with him. There is no more information to be found about his time in the service or a release date. His final rank was Tec 5 US Army. Carl Thomas Cosand passed away December 25, 1999 in Bentonville, Benton Co., Arkansas and is buried in the Bentonville Cemetery.
