Luther Edward Chapen was born October 9, 1922 in Lavaca, Sebastian co., Ar. to Silas Edward & Missie M. Escu Chapen. March 21, 1942 Luther married Geneva Henderson in Crawford Co., Ar. They both were residents of Alma, Crawford Co, at that time. Luther served in the US Army from January 26, 1943 till March 6, 1946, His last rank was Corporal. No more information is found about his service. Luther Edward Chapen passed away February 21, 1984 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. He was buried in the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ar.
