Cecil Rome Britton was born April 21, 1916 in Sebastian Co., Ar. to Clyde Roy & Leah W. Kaylor Britton. February 14, 1942 he married Janie Lovell, both being residents of Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. Cecil registered for the military draft October 16, 1940. He enlisted in the US Army January 6, 1941, having been a member of the National Guard already. He served with the Field Artillary until December 15, 1945. Cecil passed away February 14, 1990 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., AR. His burial was in Parks Cemetery in Charleston, Franklin Co., Ar.
