On Dec. 19. 1952 Wendell Bobbitt married Mary Stanfill Stacy, in Sebastian Co., Ar, both residing in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. Mary Stanfill had previously been married to James H Stacy and divorced 3 Nov 1952. In 2003 Wendell married a second time to Edith Mae Canada Hodge. Other than his WWII marker showing a rank of SK2 Storekeeper Second Class, and his picture in uniform, I found no other references to his time in the Navy, Drewey Wendell Bobbitt passed away on Dec. 28, 2011 at Greenwood, Sebastian County, Arkansas, and was buried at Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Milltown, Sebastian County, Arkansas. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Mr. D. He was a retired owner of Bobbitt Furniture; a member of Westwood Baptist Church; a member of Gideon's International; and a World War II NAVY Veteran. Mr. Bobbitt was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife of 49 years: Mary Ellen Bobbitt; and his 2nd wife of 8 years: Edith Bobbitt. He is survived by 2 sons: Jim Bobbitt and his wife: Owalah, and Gary Bobbitt and his wife: Doris; 1 sister: Vita (Bobbitt) Graham; 4 grandsons: Aaron, Nicholas, Tristan, and Scott; 5 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many, many dear friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, 12/30/2011, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas. Mr. Bobbitt was laid to rest beside his 1st wife: Mary Ellen at Dawson Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Aaron Bobbitt, Nichaolas Bobbitt, Tristan Bobbitt, Scott Bobbitt, Jim Cox, and R.B. Bobbitt.
