Gerald Carden Berkshire was born Jan. 22, 1917 in Sebastian Co., Ar. to William Huston
& Hazel Jane Carden Berkshire. May 22, 1937 he married Elizabeth Fern Weaver.
He was from Bloomer, Sebastian Co., Ar and she from Lavaca, Sebastian Co. Ar.
Oct. 16, 1940 Gerald registered for the military draft at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. Aug
14, 1945 Gerald enlisted in the US Navy. He served until May 3, 1946 when he was
discharged. No other information about his time in the service is known.
After the war Gerald and his family made their home in California. In 1956 he is found
listed in the phone book of Ventura, Ventura Co. California, along with brother William M.
and their parents.

September 17, 1987 Gerald Carden Berkshire passed away in Bakersfield, Kern Co., Ca. and was
buied in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Bakersfield, Ca..
