Nathaniel Howard Berkshire, known to family & friends as "Chub", was born
Aug 2, 1918 in Sebastian Co., Ar. He was the third of six children born to
William Huston & Hazel Jane Carden Berkshire. Nov 30, 1939 he married
Honestine Elizabeth Rucker. They both were living in Bloomer, Sebastian Co., Ar. at
that time.
Nathaniel Howard was living at Charleston, Franklin Co., Ar. when he
regristered for the military draft on Oct. 16, 1940 at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar.
He enlisted in the US Army Aug 18, 1943. There is not any information about his
service other than he was discharged Dec 7, 1945.
On Feb 24, 1978 at age 59 Nathaniel Howard Berkshire passed away
at Kern County, Calif. The burial was in the Liberty Cemetery in
Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar.
