Leo enlisted in the US Army December 26, 1944 at Camp Chaffee, Fort Smith, Ar. States he has completed 4 years of high school. No further information about his service was found. George is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois Ridpath Bentley of North Little Rock; 2 sons, Dr. Joe Bentley of Cleveland, Mississippi, and Paul Bentley (Kimberley) of Sherwood; 1 daughter, Phyllis Bentley of North Little Rock; 3 grandchildren, Davis, Jordan, and Taylor Bentley; 1 sister, Laverne Boone (Phelan) of Texarkana, Texas; 1 brother, John Bentley of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
