Eberle Llewellyn Been was born May 22, 1909 at Midland, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Martin Thaddeus & Lavina Queen Maun Been. April 9, 1951 he married Gertrude Alma Simms Waring in Wood Co., Ohio. She passed away 1955. Eberle's second marriage in April 1957 was to Marie Beatrice Gates of Montana, living in Surry, England. Information from England & Wales, Civil Registration Marriage Records Soon aftrwards moved back to the states to El Paso, Texas. Eberle registered for the military draft at Bakersfield, Kern Co. California. There was no date on the draft card. He enlisted in the US Army Air Cotps 11 Aug 1942 and served until 29 Oct 1945. He enlisted again 25 Jan 1955 and served until 30 Jun 1965. He may have served between these 2 times on the enlistment records but I didn't find a record of that. His final rank was T/Sgt. Eberle Llewellyn Been passed away October 7, 1983 at El Paso, Texas. His burial was at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in Fort Bliss, TX.
