Vernon Wayne Barton was born December 21, 1912 in Sebastian Co., Ar. to Reuben & Nancy Ethel Presson Barton. December 31, 1947 Vernon married Wilma Nadine Ingram. Her residence was Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and his was Huntington, Sebastian Co., Ar. No draft registration card has been found for Vernon but he enlisted in the US Army September 15, 1942 and served until December 6, 1945. Nothing more is found on his time in the service. Vernon passed away February 23, `1996 in Sebastian Cc., Ar. His burial was at Union Ridge Cemetery, Crossroads, Sebastian Co., Ar.
