Truman Alton Barton was born January 7, 1911 at Dayton, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Reuben & Nancy Ethel Presson Barton. February 24, 1946 he married Elsie Genevieve Garrett in Sedalia, Pettis Co., Missouri. No draft registration card has been found for Truman but he enlisted in the US Army January 17, 1942 and served until January 11, 1946 as a PFC. Nothing more is found on his time in the miitary. Truman Alton Barton passed away June 17, 1979 at Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri. His burial was in Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedialla.
