Lawrence Reuben Barton was born April 30, 1922 at Dayton, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Reuben & Nancy Ethel Presson Barton. He married Eloise Gwendolyn Boss from South Dakota. No record of their marriage has been found. Lawrence enlisted in the US Navy August 29, 1940 and served until December 5, 1960. Except for the two muster rolls below nothing more is known about his service. Lawrence Reuben Barton died February 15, 1975 in Barton County, Missouri. The story of his death is below.
