Gene R. Barnett

Eugene "Gene" R. Barnett was born October 4, 1920 in Logan Co., Arkansas to
William "Bill" Thomas & Lois Smith Barnett. April 19, 1946 he married
Ada Faye O'Neal in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. where they both resided.
Gene enlisted in the US Army January 6, 1941 and served until September 16, 1945
with the Field Artillery. He states on his enlistmnt that he has completed 4 years
of high school. He had previously been with the National Guard. His last
rank was Sgt.
Eugene "Gene" R. Barnett passed away June 18, 1974 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
His burial was in the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
