Harry Lee Adams
1915-1988


Harry Lee Adams was born August 12, 1915 at Altus, Franklin Co., Arkansas to Joseph Newton & Lura Mae Quick Adams. Harry graduated from Fort Smith High School in the class of 1933. On November 2, 1946 he married Kay Ritchie Green in Harris County Texas.

Harry registered for the military draft October 16, 1940 at Rogers School in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. July 18, 1941 Harry enlisted in the US Army and was assigned to the 327th Field Artillery 84th Div. During his time of service the 327th fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Harry served until January 5, 1946. He served not only in WWII but also served again in the Korean War. His final rank was Capt.

Capt. Harry Lee Adams passed away October 28, 1988 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and was buried in the National Cemetery there.

"In tribute to the gallant soldiers of the 327th FA Battalion - 84th Infantry Division who took part, during the Battle of the
Bulge, in the liberation of our towns and villages.They stayed in Baillonville from December 22, 1944 to January 3, 1945."
