Steven Augusta Hanserd 1896 - 1978 Steven Augusta Hanserd was born February 4, 1896 at Plummerville, Conway Co., Ar. to James Jessie & Nettie Hugg Hanserd. He married Nina Marie Sanders. No marriage date has been found. Steven registered for the military draft June 5, 1917 at Pontotoc Co., Mississippi. He enlisted in the US Army May 28, 1918 and served until October 20, 1919. His final rank was Cpl. Steven passed away February 1, 1978 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. where he was buried in the National Cemetery there.
