William Gilbert Eberle 1886 - 1961 Dr. William Gilbert Eberle was born at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. September 11, 1886 to Dr. Joseph Gilbert & Jennie Elizabeth Pierson Eberle. He married Ella Franklin Smart November 6, 1913 at Wellsboro, Tioga, Pennsylvania Dr. Eberle registered for the military draft September 29, 1917 at Fort Smith, Ar. He was assigned to the Med Det 142 FA 39 Div and served there as 1st. LT. He passed away June 19, 1961. His burial was in the National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Ar.
