Pfc Robert Lee Knight <1930 - 1950 Pfc Robert Lee Knight was born April 27, 1930 in Sebastian County Ar., to William Nelson and Pearl Green Knight. His mother died when he 2 years old. Robert married Delores Marlene Dill from Tacoma, Washington. They had one daughter Teresa, born in 1950. (contributed by Rebecca Mitchener) Private First Class Knight was a member of the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. His specialty was Light Weapons Infantryman. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on August 12, 1950. PFC Knight was awarded the Purple Heart. Pfc Robert Lee Knight was buried in Ft. Lewis Post Cemetery at Tacoma, WA.
