Pvt Charles Ector Boone 1932 - 1950
Born Dec. 1, 1932 in Bonanza, Sebastian County, Arkansas, Pvt. Charles Ector Boone
was the son of Benjamin Harrison and Nora Esther Franklin Boone.
Pvt. Boone was killed in action in South Korea September 25, 1950.
His burial was in the National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Arkansas.
"Private E-2 Boone was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 5th Infantry
Regimental Combat Team. While the unit was attached to the 24th Infantry
Division, he was Killed in Action defending his position near Kumchon,
South Korea on September 25, 1950. Private Boone was awarded the Purple
Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the
Unite Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the
Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service
Medal."
