Dr. Eberle Watson 1853-1913
Dr. Eberle Watson was born about 1853 in Mississippi to
John D. and Elizabeth Colly Watson. His father John was born in Georgia about 1820 and his
mother was born about 1824 in Alabama. In 1860 his father was teaching school in Itawamba,
Mississippi and Eberle is age 8. In 1870 John D., Elizabeth and family are living in Lee
County Mississippi.
On May 24, 1876 Dr. Watson married Martha "Mattie" E. Durrith in Itawamba, Mississippi and by 1880
Eberle is on his own with wife Martha "Mattie" E.Clara age 3, and Effie M. age 1 in Hackett City, Sebastian
Arkansas. He is a clerk in a store. In 1900 the Watson family of 4 are living in Poteau,
Choctaw Nation, IT. Eberly is now a physician.
In 1910 Dr. Watson and family are to be found in Hartford, Sebastian, Arkansas.
Dr. Eberly Watson died on March 25, 1913 in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. He is
buried in Hartford Memorial Park, Hartford, Arkansas.

He was born around 1863 in Mississippi. No information is now known about where he received his medical training.
The good doctor is buried in Hartford, Arkansas.
