Samuel J. Ozment of Huntington was born c 1867 in Mississippi, the son of Jonathan Madison Ozment and Martha Thompson,
and husband of Ara Marquis He died October 16, 1918 in Sparks Hospital, Fort Smith. Burial was in Oak Cemetery.
Dr. Ozment graduated from the Arkansas Industrial University Medical Department 1898 and Marion Sims college 1901.
His diploma was registered in Saline County, Arkansas, prior to his certification by the Arkansas State Medical board in 1903
but he had been practicing in Huntington during the 2 years prior to 1903.
Dr Ozment served as president of the Sebastian County Medical Society in 1915, and the 1900 Sebastian County Census shows him
living in Diamond Twp. With his family; Ara, December 1873; Otho, May 1892; Irene, November 1894;
and Samuel, September 1897, all born in Arkansas
