Dr. McCorkle was born c. 1836 in Mississippi, and attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
He graduated from the Nashville University in Tennessee in 1860. Dr. McCorkle's license was recorded in Sebastian County on
March 16, 1895. He was a physician, druggist, and dentist. (Fort Smith Public Library.)
