He was married 25 May 1872 in Abbeville, Lafayette, Mississippi to Martha Caroline 'Mattie' Temple 1848-1935 In 1875 he graduated from Medical School, Louisville Medical College and moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas to begin his practice. He died May 14, 1920 at Fort Smith.
