HENRY TAYLOR BOUNTY LAND WARRANT

Note: Henry Taylor was William Henry Taylor, husband of Rebecca (Gipson) Taylor. Their son Berry Taylor married Mary Dickerson. Berry's daughter, Ollie married William Andy Brigance. That couple was my husband's grandparents.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:

Whereas, in persuance of the Act of Congress, approved March 22d, 1852, entitled "An Act to make Bounty Land Warrants assignable, and for other purposes," Warrant No. 191 for 80 acres, issued in favor of Henry Taylor Private in Captain Wilsons Company Arkansas Militia Indian War has been returned to the General Land Office, with evidence that the same has been duly located upon the Lot number ten in the northeast fractional quarter of six, and lot number Eleven in the northwest fractional quarter of Section five, in township four north of range twenty nine west, in the district of lands subject to sale at Clarksville Arkansas containing seventy nine acres and sixty six hundredths of an acre according to the Official Plat of the Survey of said Lands returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General: Which has been assigned to J.J. Tumlinson.

Now Know Ye, That there is therefor granted by the United States unto the said J.J. Tumlinson the tract of Land above described: To have and to hold the said tract of Land with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said J.J. Tumlinson and to his heirs and assigns forever.

In testimony whereof, I, Franklin Pierce President of the United States of America, have caused these Letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.

Given under my hand, at the City of Washington, the Sixteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Fifty six and of the Independence of The United States the seventy-Eightieth
