This is a picture of my grandmother's second husband. I am not sure about the date of the picture but imagine that it would be in the 1920's. The picture was one of my own mother's and written on the back is the words "my step-daddy." James Monroe Stewart was born March 3, 1881 in Madison County, Arkansas and died on July 30, 1936 in Belleville, Austin County, Texas. He is buried in the Woak Cemetery near Belleville. He and Martha Jane (Davenport) Meeks were married in Scott County, Arkansas on September 19, 1912.
