The attractive couple in the photo above are the grandparents of Bobbie. James Franklin Sorrels and Minnie Mae Cole were married in Mansfield, Scott Co., AR on 5 December 1896. They left this area soon afterward. They had three sons: Louis Edwin Sorrels, born 25 September 1899 in Washington state; Raymond Bert Sorrels, my father, born 11 August 1901 in Harrington, Washington and Robert Cole Sorrels, born 17 May 1917 in Jerome, Lincoln Co., Idaho. James Franklin Sorrels died in 1918 in Lincoln Co., ID. He was the son of Grandison Royeston Sorrels and Sarah Ann Talkington and grandson of James Little Sorrels and Mary Henthorne. Minnie Mae Cole Sorrels was born in Scott County.
