Pennington and wife Julia Ann (Morgan) Pennington under the umbrella. Next to them is their son, Rev. J.N. Pennington, with the song book in his hand. He was a pastor of the Ione Baptist Church. To the left of Rev. Pennington is a younger brother, who also has a song book. This is probably one of the baptisms written about in the Ione Baptist Church Minutes.
