"K", 17th Regiment of Tennessee Infantry, C.S.A. and knew him for all my life raised on adjoining farms in Franklin County, Tennessee, I remember his going to the Army service, he was a young man and went about the second year of the war, about one year after my father had went to service, and he remained in Army until about the close of the war he returned home with his brother wounded. I think he went from the town of Wenchester, Franklin County, Tennessee and returned at close of war to the same County and State.

That he is now dead and that his widow has been for the past twelve months a bona fide resident of Arkansas. That my knowledge of these facts comes from My personal knowledge from being a near neighbor of the soldier living on adjoining lands, and my Father entering the service about one year before the soldier went to service, and his return home at close of war. And by knowing the soldier every since the war until his death and lived with him part of the time, and from information obtained from the soldier himself.
That to the best of our knowledge all property owned by her is not worth exceeding $500.00, not including the value of her homestead, or household goods.
