Pictured above is the signpost at Parks Cemetery at Nola, Scott County, Arkansas. John and Effie (McCormack) Garrett, whose tombstones are pictured below, are both buried here. Effie McCormack was married three times. Each husband's first name was John. First was John Culp, second was John Lindsey and third was John Garrett. Each marriage took place on her father's porch in Little Texas. Each time she stood on the same board and the same preacher performed each ceremony. At the last wedding, the preacher told her to step over one board, so that she wouldn't be standing in the same spot as last time.
