RIYAH XIONG

Riyah Xiong was born on September 5, 1968 in Laos to Youa Ge Moua (father) and Wa Lee (mother). She came to the United States of America with her late husband in search of a brighter future for her family. She has one surviving sibling (sister: Lahard Yang) and one deceased sibling (brother: Kaying Moua). She was the youngest daughter. Riyah and her late husband (Hue Xiong aka Ahsawin) had 5 children: Hmong Z. Xiong (daughter), Trae Xiong (son, married to Nou Yang), Mai Xiong (daughter, married to Mike Yang), Pata Xiong (daughter, married to Ling Vang), and Kong Meng Xiong (son, married to Maiya Moua). She has 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Her passions in life included preaching of the bible, gardening, and spending time with her family. She passed peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 surrounded by her family. Riyah will be laid to rest next to her husband Ahsawin at Elmhurst Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota.

AHSAWIN (HUE) XIONG

On Tuesday, July 27th, 2021, Ahsawin (Hue) Xiong, loving husband and supportive father, passed away at the age of 53. Ahsawin (Hue) was born August 2nd, 1967 in Sayaboury, Laos, to Song Xiong and Thaiv Xiong. He came to America with high hopes and dreams of a better and brighter future for his family. He had married Riyah Moua Xiong and is survived by his five children: Hmong Xiong, Trae Xiong, Mai Xiong, Pata Xiong and Kong Xiong; his son/daughter-in-laws: Qoua Yang, Nou Yang, Mike Yang, Ling Vang and Maiya Moua; his grandchildren: Randy, Faith, Ruthie, Frankie, Audree, Elijah, Adalyn, Kaleb, Ethan and Melakai; and his siblings Lee Xiong, Doua Xiong, Chee Xiong, Yer Xiong and Chong Xiong. Ahsawin (Hue) enjoyed hunting and fishing but his passion was in his work. He was known for his kind heart and calm wisdom. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, August 15th, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Flowers and donations may be sent to Martin Funeral Home, 101 W 4th, Waldron, AR 72958. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
