These were my great grandparents, long time residents of Scott County from about 1910-1990's. These photos were taken about 1956.

Pictured above is Frank C. Neff who lived Feb. 14, 1889 - Nov. 16, 1966, and I think he built the house in the picture, near Haw Creek or Winfield. He is buried near his daughters at Fairhaven Cemetery in Santa Ana, California.

Pictured below is Ersie B. Neff who lived April 17, 1893 - Feb. 23, 1991. She was born Ersey B. Metcalf, then married Arthur Lee Hawthorne. Later, in 1919, she married Frank Neff. She lived in this home near Winfield until 1990. "Granny Neff" is buried in Sehorn Cemetery near her son Arthur Lee Hawthorne, Jr., and daughter Iva Hawthorne Sparks. She was very dear to us, and we made many visits to her home in Arkansas, where she is pictured.
