MILLIE ANN OLLER & HUSBANDS
Millie Ann Oller was born May 1831 in Union County, Illinois to Arthur and Rebecca Oller. I believe that she had ten siblings: Henderson, Mary Ann, Hannah, Jackson, Harrison, Dianah (not proven), Cynthia, Roxana, Francis Marion, and Bailey William. After the death of her father on Dec 29, 1843 and before the 1850 Census, she moved with her mother and most of her siblings to Scott County, Arkansas. She is found on the 1850 Scott County Census with her husband Christopher Columbus Griffith (1829 - 1862), with the census indicating they married within the year 1850. Christopher and Millie had two children: James H. Griffith (1856 - 1883) and Mary Elizabeth Griffith (1860 - 1900). Their father Christopher died in Clarksville, Arkansas due to an unspecified illness during service in the Civil War. Millie remarried to Thomas Benton Jones (1835 - 1911) in c1865. They had William Smith Jones and Elizabeth Matilda Jones. It is possible they had two other children who died young named Benton and Permelia. The 1900 Census indicates Millie gave birth to 9 children. Millie and Christopher's daughter Mary Elizabeth Griffith married her stepfather's (Thomas Benton Jones) nephew, Levi Benton Jones. Mary and Levi were my grandmother, Dollie Jones Hale's, grandparents. All of these photos belonged to my grandmother's aunt Velma Jones Tade and were shared with me by her grandson David.
