Pictured above and below is the tombstone of my great-great grandmother, Lucinda (Wright) Beeson. She is buried at the Henslee Family Cemetery, located south-east of Waldron about 6 miles East on Highway 250. The cemetery is located on the left-hand (North) side of the highway in a wooded area, and has long been abandoned. Lucinda's stone is just beside the road and can be easily seen from the road.

Lucinda was born in Tennessee. She married Josephus Beeson before 1847 and they are found on the 1860 census in Franklin Co., AR. After Lucinda's death, her widower Josephus and many of their children moved to Wise Co., TX and then to Greer Co., Oklahoma Territory. Josephus died 28 Feb 1901 at Sayre, Beckham Co., OK.
