James Oscar Hale was born 13 Feb 1903 in Dutch Creek Valley, Scott Co., AR. He died 26 Mar 1969 at Fort Smith, AR, buried beside his wife of 46 years, Dollie (Jones) Hale, in Union Hill Cemetery. Oscar was the third of five sons born to Jethro and Mary (Johnson) Hale. Oscar & Dollie were the parents of James Leroe Hale & Clyde Leon Hale & grandparents of Barbara Hale Reynolds, Kenneth Leon Hale & Deborah Hale Walker by their son Clyde. By their son Leroe, there were two grandchildren, Larry Hale & Cathy Jo Hale.
