Scott County, Arkansas

Going north from Waldron on Highway 71, turn left on Highway 28 West and go 11.5 miles to Cauthron. Just past Cauthron turn left on Weeks Road. This begins as a paved road but soon becomes a dirt road. Cemetery is 7.5 miles and on the left side of the road. Note: Research has shown the stone of Mrs. Tedrick was for Frances Jane Jones, who married first John M. Tedrick. He died in 1875 and is buried at Gipson Cemetery. Frances then married James C. Wood in 1883. Frances married third B.F. Wilson in 1889 and fourth Reuben M. Meeks in 1909.

Note: Sarah Ann Elizabeth Wilson Welch Terry died December 1915 at Heavener, Oklahoma according to an article in the Waldron newspaper.

Unmarked Graves:

Beck, Lula J. Welborn, died about 1906. Her grave is located in the northwest corner, outside the fence, near the road. She was full blood Choctaw and the grave is marked with a yellow firebrick with an Indian symbol on it. She died in childbirth and her twin babies are buried with her. Information from her great granddaughter Carolyn Collins Grimm.
