NOTE: Although this is a Sebastian County pension record, I decided to transcribe and post it here as I believe Alfred Thomas Brasher had ties to Scott County. He is listed at age 12 on the 1850 Scott County census in Lafave Township; was again on the Scott County census in 1880 in Hickman Township (his mother, Rachel Brasher, was listed in his household.) In 1889 he married a second (?) wife, Eucinda Ella Finley here in Scott County. Alford Thomas Brasher, born 10 April 1841 and died 11 May 1925, shares a double tombstone at Coop Prairie Cemetery in Scott County with his third (?) wife, Mary Elizabeth Brasher.
