SUSIE "SIS" HOLLEMAN

Susie "Sis" Holleman was born in Parks, Arkansas in 1899 to C.A. and Lizzie Parsons. She attended school through the eighth grade in a one room schoolhouse at Dooley. She married John Holleman and they had six children: Charlene Wadkins, Valton Holleman, Monard Holleman, Merle Pryor, Melmo Holleman, and Howard Holleman. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church. She attributes her 91 years to faith in God, and to hard work. She says her greatest work in life was establishing the Needmore Assembly of God Church with the help of Eula Calvert, Hattie Wilson and Miles Lovett.
