From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.

PEARL (KENNON) WADE

Pearl (Kennon) Wade, age 93, was born on Oct. 17, 1887, in Scott County to James and Mollie Kennon. She has lived in Scott County all her life, having lived in Mt. Moriah, Union, Hill and Waldron communities. She attended school at Union Hill. She ws married to the late Clemet (Clement?) Wade. Mr. Wade taught school at Mt. Moriah and Fourche Valley communities. Mrs. Wade has three children - Sybil Hummel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Wanda Wade of Modessa, Washington and Juanita Holland of Waldron. Mrs. Wade is a Baptist.
