From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.

JOHN GOSKA

John Goska was born on March 7, 1900 in Wehawken, New Jersey, and has lived in Scott County for 23 years. He is married to Anastasia Goska and four of their children, John Jr., Walter, Joseph and Barbara live in New Jersey, while two children, Violet Goska and Larry Goska, live in Waldron. Mr. Goska was a wood pattern maker until 1974. He used wood to make patterns for the iron and stainless steel and other metals that planes, cylinder heads and such. Mr. Goska is now a farmer and enjoys the farming and clearing of pasture land.
