From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.

FRANK COOK

Mr. Frank Cook, born in Gravelly, Arkansas March 1, 1884 is 97 years of age, and has spent those 97 years all in Scott County, most of it in the Gravelly - Cedar Creek communities. Mr. Cook completed the seventh grade at Cedar Creek. Mr. Cook was a member of the Church of God at Cedar Creek. He was a farmer most of his life but also did odd jobs as a common laborer. Mr. Cook has five children - Gladys Thompson, Parks, Arkansas, Maude Montgomery, Waldron, Dessie Summitt, San Diego, California, Claude Cook, San Diego, California and Eurchel Cook of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Cook states he has did business at the Bank of Waldron since 1905, and since he has never lived any place other than Scott County and this is where he learned his ABC's he thinks it is the best place he knows.
