From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.

CLYDE DAVIS

Clyde Davis, a resident of Pinewood Nursing Home since December 22, 1973 is 85. He was born at Square Rock community in Scott County on August 24, 1895 to Ike and Laura Davis. Clyde attended school at Center Point. His wife was Freeda (Rice) Davis and she preceded him in death in 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Davis lived in Scott County since 1919, except during World War II when he was employed in California. Clyde is a Methodist. He and Freeda have four children, Lucian Davis of Amarillo, Texas, Clyde Wayne Davis of Boyle, Mississippi, Joe Bill Davis of Wichita, Kansas and Mrs. Robert (Dorris) Davis of Waldron.
