Pictured above is Martin VanBuren Alley and probably two of his grandchildren. The undated photo was labeled "Grandpa Alley - Ina Locke - Matril Alley." This is not Matril Alley, since she died in 1917, before Ina was born in 1919. Martin Vanburen Alley and granddaugher Ina (Locke) Cowart and the name of the other child is unknown. Martin VanBuren Alley was born May 1854 in Kentucky, according to information listed for him on the 1900 Scott County, Arkansas census. Pictured below is the Martin VanBuren Alley homeplace in Johnson Township, Scott County, Arkansas.
